Arbitration Rule

Our judges work hard to ensure fairness in all rings. However, judging is much harder than it looks! 

To provide a method for coaches and instructors to dispute a judges call yet also ensure that this opportunity is not abused, arbitrations will be allowed as follows:

1. Coach/instructor asks center referee for an arbitrator
2. When the arbitrator arrives at the ring, the coach or instructor must present $50.00 to the arbitrator
3. If the arbitrator agrees with the dispute, the $50.00 will be returned and the issue addressed. Otherwise, the $50.00 will go towards the FAME 2k year end banquet.
4. All protests must be made to an arbitrator, and must follow this strict procedure: (a) the competitor or his / her coach must clearly state the rule that has been misapplied; and (b) must have the Rule Book open to the page where the rule is listed. Every legitimate dispute concerning a misapplication of the rules will be properly addressed. Judgment calls may not be protested, and will not be addressed by the arbitrators.
